Retirement Plan

Retirement accounts such as an IRA or 401(k) can be donated to Hillsides estate tax-free, guaranteeing that 100 percent of the proceeds you have saved go to Hillsides.

Typically, loved ones who receive retirement plans through wills or trusts must pay a significant amount of deferred taxes – a tax-bite that can significantly reduce the amount that passes to heirs. However, retirement plans left directly to Hillsides are entirely free of taxes and make your estate eligible for a charitable deduction.

Hillsides' gift planning director welcomes your inquiries at jbroxton@hillsides.org or 323-543-2800 ext. 230.
