LOS ANGELES, December 8, 2019 – Local realtor Eva Lin and her team at Lin Realty Group in Pasadena donated 50 new bicycles and helmets to the children living at Hillsides residential treatment program. This year the company also enlisted the Denver, Colorado based non-profit Wish for Wheels to help facilitate the assembly of the bikes on the Hillsides campus during the “Lin Realty Group’s 2nd Annual Bike Build & Donation Party.”
All 50 children who live at Hillsides were presented with the bikes and helmets as holiday presents.
This is the second year Lin Realty Group has supported Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, for the holidays.
“Becoming a new mom has been such a transformative experience. It has really inspired me to do something positive for underprivileged Pasadena children who don’t have all the comforts that I hope to provide for my own children,” said Team Leader Eva Lin. “There’s something so simple and pure about a young child enjoying the freedom and delight that comes with riding their very own bicycle. I think most of us take it for granted that we had a bike growing up, but for these kids, it’s a huge deal.”
Lin Realty Group looks forward to repeating this event for the children at Hillsides every holiday season. “All things considered, building and gifting these bicycles during the holidays is a small gesture, but I know we’re helping spark joy for these children,” said Eva. The team strives to eventually supply bicycles to hundreds of children throughout the San Gabriel Valley each year.
