Hillsides staff member featured in CBS This Morning story

Hillsides' Brittany Watkins, an On-Call Program Manager who evaluates clients in crisis, was prominently featured in a national CBS This Morning segment focusing on child abuse cases during the COVID-19 pandemic. The story was seen by more than 50 million people and focused on underreported child abuse cases nationwide and the efforts of child welfare advocates like Brittany who risk their own health to personally intervene when necessary. Please watch this important piece and let us know your thoughts.

Our CEO Joe Costa also weighed in on this issue with his recent blog post that examined the troubling news that child abuse cases are being underreported because of the COVID-19 crisis. Read more about what Hillsides is doing to check in with children and their families under our care.
