Volunteer

Every hand and heart make an impact

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Hillsides. Along with your talent and giving heart, you bring a unique perspective and life experience to our programs. Volunteers provide crucial support to our team and most importantly, to the clients we serve. At Hillsides, we have three unique volunteer groups for you to consider joining.

Hillsides Guild

Hillsides Guild members have supported Hillsides’ programs since 1987. Membership is open to adults who want to take an active role in improving the lives of children in foster care or who have emotional and behavioral challenges. Working together in an atmosphere of commitment and camaraderie, members successfully implement Hillsides’ mission.

As a member of this group, you will have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of the behavioral health field and take a hands-on approach through participation in one-day projects or longer-term commitments. Some of the activities led by the Hillsides Guild include an annual carnival, holiday parties, cottage decorating, and more.

Hillsides Volunteer Network

The Hillsides Volunteer Network (HVN) started in 1994 to offer an organized, easy way for caring people to positively impact the lives of children and youth who have experienced trauma. The group raises funds for activities, outings, and programs that enrich the lives of the children and young adults that receive our services.

You can get involved with HVN in a variety of ways from attending events to serving on fundraising and membership committees. If you are interested in learning more, we invite you to join HVN’s monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month. Contact Lisa Zabel if you would like to attend a meeting and tour the campus.

H100

H100 was created to help support and sustain the Hillsides community into the next hundred years of service. The group works to restore hope for the 14,000 youth, children, and families we serve across all programs through direct support and fundraising. Annually, the group hosts a Farm to Table benefit that honors the philosophy and vision of creating a food culture centered around fresh, locally grown, seasonal vegetables, fruit, and meat.
