LOS ANGELES, October 24, 2018 – The Ice House Comedy Club 58th Anniversary Show, held on October 14 benefiting Hillsides, raised more than $10,000 for the Southern California foster care charity. The sold-out event, which included a silent and live auction, supports the Hillsides Volunteer Network, a volunteer arm of Hillsides.  The funds will go towards activities and field trips for the children who live in Hillsides’ residential program.

LOS ANGELES, September 13, 2018 – The Ice House comedy club is hosting its annual benefit for Hillsides on October 14.  Each year The Ice House owner Bob Fisher organizes a special anniversary show and donates the proceeds to Hillsides. The evening raises money for a support group of Hillsides, the Hillsides Volunteer Network, which provides activities and field trips for the children who live in Hillsides Residential Treatment Services program.

LOS ANGELES, September 4, 2018 -- The Starbucks Foundation has awarded Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, a $30,000 grant for its Youth Moving On (YMO) workforce development program for transition-aged youth 16-25.  The funds will be used to support community service and outreach efforts to help youth gain the necessary skills needed to prepare for employment.

LOS ANGELES, August 30, 2018 -- Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, has opened a new office in East Los Angeles. The Bienvenidos Family Resource Centers, East Los Angeles will offer mental health, family preservation, wraparound, and youth prevention services.  The location replaces two smaller sites in East Los Angeles and Montebello.

We provide home-based family care (formerly known as foster care) to help children and youth heal from the effects of trauma. Included in the home-based care are treatment and adoption services for children and youth ranging from newborn to 21 years old. >
Our centers offer numerous community-based programs and services that provide parenting classes, mental health support, and additional crucial resources for vulnerable children and families throughout Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena. >
We offer comprehensive family support and individual mental health treatment for children and adolescents, ages 6 to 17. This program includes a Residential Treatment Center (RTC), a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), as well as coordinated family and aftercare programming. >
Youth Moving On, with support from The Everychild Foundation, provides former foster youth affordable quality housing and numerous support services to help them become responsible, self-sufficient adults. >
