LOS ANGELES, May 11, 2020 – Hillsides has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Pasadena Community Foundation to purchase food, groceries, and basic supplies for foster and transitional-aged youth as part of its COVID-19 Response Fund. Hillsides was one of 26 local nonprofits who received support from the Pasadena Community Foundation, which awarded a total of $372,000 in grants to local community-based organizations serving families and individuals experiencing extreme hardship from the economic, social, and physical impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

LOS ANGELES, December 8, 2019 – The Ice House Comedy Club 59th Anniversary Show, held on December 8 benefiting Hillsides, raised more than $8,000 for the Southern California foster care charity. The sold-out event, which included a silent and live auction, supports the Hillsides Volunteer Network, a volunteer arm of Hillsides. The funds will go towards activities and field trips for the children who live in Hillsides’ residential program.

LOS ANGELES, December 8, 2019 – Local realtor Eva Lin and her team at Lin Realty Group in Pasadena donated 50 new bicycles and helmets to the children living at Hillsides residential treatment program. This year the company also enlisted the Denver, Colorado based non-profit Wish for Wheels to help facilitate the assembly of the bikes on the Hillsides campus during the “Lin Realty Group’s 2nd Annual Bike Build & Donation Party.”

LOS ANGELES, December 5, 2019 – For the 10th consecutive year, Starbucks has organized a Holiday Toy Drive for foster care charity Hillsides. Beginning this Monday, December 9, Starbucks will have decorative toy collection boxes in 51 San Gabriel Valley stores. Customers are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at participating Starbucks. The Toy Drive is set to run through Saturday, December 21.

We provide home-based family care (formerly known as foster care) to help children and youth heal from the effects of trauma. Included in the home-based care are treatment and adoption services for children and youth ranging from newborn to 21 years old. >
Our centers offer numerous community-based programs and services that provide parenting classes, mental health support, and additional crucial resources for vulnerable children and families throughout Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena. >
We offer comprehensive family support and individual mental health treatment for children and adolescents, ages 6 to 17. This program includes a Residential Treatment Center (RTC), a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), as well as coordinated family and aftercare programming. >
Youth Moving On, with support from The Everychild Foundation, provides former foster youth affordable quality housing and numerous support services to help them become responsible, self-sufficient adults. >
